  • Ata YANILMAZ advises a broad range of domestic and international clients on Turkish competition law, with a particular focus on competition compliance programmes, exemption and negative clearance applications, investigations conducted by the Turkish Competition Authority, and merger control filings in both domestic and cross-border transactions.

Before joining ACTECON, Mr. YANILMAZ gained experience at leading law firms and advisory practices, where he worked on a broad spectrum of competition law and regulatory matters, as well as on complex corporate and transactional mandates involving both domestic and multinational clients. He has worked on transactions and advisory matters across a wide range of sectors, including digital markets and online platforms, e-commerce, energy and utilities, industrial manufacturing, enterprise and AI-driven software, logistics and transportation, retail, consumer goods, home appliances, fleet management, and dermo-cosmetics.

Alongside contentious matters, he regularly supports clients with their day-to-day competition and regulatory compliance needs, including risk assessments, internal guidelines, and ad hoc competition law advice.

Mr. YANILMAZ is fluent in English and French.
